Müller Medien invests in mobilejob.com
Mobilejob.com, a Berlin-based start-up, has secured a new investor and increased its funding to a total of more than one million euros
Mobilejob.com is continuing to establish its position in the German-language e-recruiting market. Müller Medien, one of Germany’s foremost families of companies, is now investing in the start-up’s concept for success. This is the second round of financing that Steffen Manes and Kai Daniels, the founders of mobilejob.com, have secured for their recruitment solution. The High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) had already come on board as an investor shortly after the launch of the company. Thanks to Müller Medien, funding for mobilejob.com has now grown to more than one million euros and will be used to expand and strengthen the company’s position on the highly competitive e-recruiting market. The start-up is headquartered in Berlin and has currently 15 employees on its payroll.
Mobilejob.com is becoming increasingly popular among employers. While most conventional job sites such as StepStone or Monster focus primarily on recruiting for specialist and executive positions, mobilejob.com serves a much wider base, from care and service personnel to retail and warehouse clerks or call center agents. Its key to success? A fully mobile recruitment process that uses express applications via mobile devices to find the right candidate.
“The increasing number of companies that work with us shows that our recruiting approach has struck a chord with employers. Our solution helps them find the employees they need. We are thrilled that Müller Medien, another knowledgeable investor, has come on board. This partnership provides a solid foundation for further strengthening our position in the e-recruiting market,” says Kai Daniels, one of the two founders and CEOs of mobilejob.com.
“The concept that mobilejob.com used to enter the market had us convinced. It represents a solution that, offers a recruiting alternative for the commercial job market. It targets the right group, and its mobile approach is absolutely in line with the future in an otherwise out-of-date market. That is why we feel this investment is an important component in the expansion of our new business activities,” says Michael Amtmann, Director New Business at Müller Medien.
At HTGF, the involvement of Müller Medien is also cause for satisfaction: “We are glad that another strong investor is now supporting mobilejob in its positive development. With Müller Medien, mobilejob has secured one of Germany’s foremost and long-standing publishing companies to invest in its solution. Müller Medien is exactly the partner that mobilejob needs to lay the foundations for rapid and continuous growth,” says Dr. Sebastian Suhr, Investment Manager at HTGF.
In addition to Müller Medien and HTGF, company builder etventure, is also partnering with mobilejob.com.
Mobilejob.com is headquartered in Berlin and offers the first functional recruitment solution for the commercial employment market. It targets employers recruiting all types of positions, from care and service personnel to retail and warehouse clerks or call center agents. The company’s name hints at its approach: mobilejob.com has moved the entire application and hiring process to mobile devices – from dated but functional Nokia “brick” cell phones to smartphones and tablet computers. Mobilejob.com has transferred the entire application process to mobile devices, including sending an express CV and making first contact. The company was founded in 2014 by Kai Daniels and Steffen Manes and now has a client base of more than 170 employers.
