Mobile and flexible data acquisition is enabled by applying SLAM algorithms (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) from the domain of mobile robotics. This makes laser scanning independent of external reference variables such as GPS or specific markers. Based on this technology dotscene creates CAD models, true-to-scale floor plans and facade projections for its customers, mainly from the real estate sector.

With FTIR spectroscopy hundreds of different gases are identified from a distance of up to several kilometres. The founders René Braun, Peter Maas und Alexander Herrmann bring in 25 years of experience in the development an application of remote monitoring technology together with extensive experience in business development.

HiperScan GmbH was founded in 2006 as a spin-off of the Dresdner Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS). The innovative scanning grating technology developed at the IPMS forms the basis for the near-infrared (NIR) spectrometer developed by HiperScan. The analytical systems make it possible to significantly reduce investment costs to make NIR-analytics affordable even to small companies. Today, the company HiperScan stands for high-quality technologies to quickly analyse nutrition facts of processed meat and fish and to reliably qualify pharmaceutical raw materials. So, the product Apo-Ident has been tailored for the safe and easy identification of compounding substances in pharmacies.

Senodis Technologies GmbH in Dresden was spun off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS in October 2019 to establish the Ceracode® marking solution developed at IKTS in the market. Ceracode® is a marking concept for hot-formed metal components where common marking solutions fail due to process temperatures above 900 °C. The printing process based on ceramic inks solves this challenge and enables seamless recording of the components along the process chain. Senodis is also developing other products for the digital component tracking and tracing in yet unreached areas of the metal industry and other industrial sectors.

Variolytics is a Stuttgart-based technology company focused on measurement technologies and process optimization. Dr. Matthias Stier (CEO), Johann Barlach (CFO) and Steffen Goerner (CTO) founded the company in March 2020, with the aim of making the invisible visible through innovative measurement technologies and thus contributing to a more sustainable society. The technology is used at wastewater treatment plants to monitor greenhouse gases in the wastewater treatment process and provide recommendations for actions to avoid them.
