News Article

Bonn, 6 February 2024 – Frank Kerim Reinecke has been appointed Partner at High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), one of Europe’s leading seed investors, effective 1 January 2024. The former entrepreneur, IT consultant and initiator of a corporate venture capital unit has been working for HTGF’s Digital Tech team in Berlin since 2019.

His investments are focused on the area of B2B software, particularly fintech, blockchain and cyber security. His 12 portfolio companies include blockchain technology provider Venly, cloud security start-up Mitigant and marketing tech company CI HUB. Having founded numerous companies and invested as a business angel for many years, Reinecke will help strengthen the expertise of HTGF’s team of partners. Alongside his portfolio work and his tasks in the Digital Tech team, he will also focus on cooperation with business angels and HTGF’s fund investor support.

After an apprenticeship as a banker, Reinecke studied business administration at the Humboldt University of Berlin. He founded his first start-up before he’d even completed his degree.

In Frank Reinecke, we are welcoming an experienced entrepreneur and experienced angel investor to our team of partners. His perspectives and experiences greatly enhance the competencies and skills of the whole HTGF team.

Dr. Alex von Frankenberg, Managing Director at HTGF

I’m really excited to help shape the path ahead for HTGF. I’m also looking to leverage my experience as a founder, business angel and CVC initiator to make sure HTGF remains the first point of contact for business angels, start-ups and potential fund investors.
