Jan T. Bernhardt

Jan T. Bernhardt is Head of IT at High-Tech Gründerfonds. As head of the IT team, he is responsible for the planning and management of IT projects, as well as the further development of the IT service offering. The IT business economist brings with him 20 years of IT experience. In the past ten years, Jan has worked in the environment of German professional soccer in IT project management and as a manager IT in the automotive industry. In this role, he had overall IT responsibility for the group for the last three years and shaped the IT strategy and implementation of the digitalization program, both nationally and internationally.

In his free time, Jan is interested in soccer and enjoys mountain biking.

What inspires you outside of work?

I love being active outdoors and cooking for family and friends. I’m a real family person!

What fascinates you about pre-seed/seed phases?

Ideas/visions gain momentum, become challenges and turn these into opportunities.

What do you appreciate about Germany as a place for business?

In addition to stable framework conditions such as the legal system, Germany stands for innovative strength, sustainability and environmental awareness.
