Profilable Exit – HTGF sells its LEDeXCHANGE Shares to other investors

May 21, 2014

During the course of the latest financing round, High-Tech Gründerfonds sold its LEDeXCHANGE Shares through a profitable Secondary Transaction to a private Investor.

LEDeXCHANGE, founded in 2011, is an innovative Startup multi-award winner selling proprietary LED Lamps and Tubes.  LEDeXCHANGE is now present in over 10 locations in Germany and in several European countries.

In 2012, High-Tech Gründerfonds invested in LEDeXCHANGE. In March 2013 LEDeXCHANGE acquired further capital from WFT in Rhineland-Palatinate and consolidated its position as a leading B2B supplier of LED lamps in Germany. With a third financing round in April 2014 the company is well situated for further expansion and High-Tech Gründerfonds decided to sell its shares to the new investor, who chose not to be named.

Dr. Guillem Sague, Investment Manager at HTGF responsible for the LEDeXCHANGE investment, explained, “We are very happy, that already after 18 Months we’ve been able to realize a profitable exit from this investment.  The company and the market have proven that there is a strong need for LED lamps”.
