News Article
Klaus Lehmann (48), who has already worked for High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) for 14 years, has now been appointed to the post of partner with effect from April 1, 2020.
We are delighted to welcome Klaus, a highly experienced colleague, into our group of partners. Klaus has built up his own portfolio with focus on industrial technology that is well above average. Right from the very outset, he has had a significant impact on the company as a whole
Dr. Alex von Frankenberg, Managing Partner of HTGF.
Klaus Lehmann has been a member of the HTGF team since 2006. He is a qualified banker, holds a degree in Business Administration and has acquired more than 20 years’ experience in the venture capital sector. When he worked at the Deutsche Ausgleichsbank’s tbg Technologie Beteiligungsgesellschaft, he assisted and advised companies from the pre-seed phase to pre-IPO financing, and was also responsible for later-stage investments. Working in HTGF’s Industrial Technology Team, he has built up a portfolio of companies operating in the energy management, industrial hardware / software, laser technology and agricultural technology sectors. Besides participating in numerous financing rounds, he has realized several successful exits. At HTGF, he also oversees the management of deal flow sources from universities and research institutes. Klaus Lehmann is a committee member of EXIST Transfer of Research’s Engineering Sciences Panel.
I have found HTGF to be a fascinating organization since day one. I’m still captivated by the chance to collaborate with very different founder personalities and to jointly develop successful companies in Germany. In addition to HTGF’s competent team, it’s the diversity – with 41 industrial investors and an active portfolio of more than 300 companies from very different technology sectors – that makes the organization so special. I’m now looking forward to further developing both the portfolio and HTGF together with my colleagues in my new role as partner.
