MedTech Radar Live 2019: Industry meets start-ups

Save the date: Second joint event organized by BVMed, Earlybird, BARMER, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Medtech Zwo on June 5th 2019 in Berlin

The second “MedTech Radar Live” event by BVMed, Earlybird, BARMER, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Medtech Zwo will take place on June 5th, 2019 in Berlin. Medical technology founders are brought together with medical device companies, health insurances and investors. In addition to a start-up pitch, there will be an exhibition and an expanded conference program with lectures from medical technology companies and accelerators. The goal is to provide founders and established companies a platform to exchange and show how innovations can be launched despite ever increasing regulatory hurdles.

The event “MedTech Radar Live” is a joint initiative of the Federal Association of Medical Technology (BVMed), the venture capital firm Earlybird, the BARMER, the High-Tech Gründerfonds and the medical technology magazine “Medtech Zwo”. It is aimed at medtech founders and companies who want to inform themselves about current innovation and to form collaborations. The agenda includes a start-up pitch that offers ten young companies a stage to present their business idea to representatives of the medical technology industry, health insurances as well as investors and to establish valuable contacts with the industry.

In addition to the pitch, another ten start-ups will have the opportunity to exhibit their innovation. Also start-up initiatives and accelerators will present themselves on that day. The application period for the start-up pitch will start in February 2019. Up to 150 participants form the medtech sector are expected to join the conference.

The “MedTech Radar Live 2019” will take place at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Berlin. It has its foundation on the “MedTech Start-up Pitch Day”, which was first organized in May 2018 by BVMed, Earlybird, BARMER, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Medtech Zwo. The German Medical Technology Association (BVMed) is an industry association that represents over 230 industrial and commercial companies in the medical technology sector.

Scavenger AI secures €1.1m pre-seed funding for data-driven decision making
