dotscene GmbH develops hardware and software for the efficient capture of 3D models, with the special focus on mobile 3D laser scanning and mapping for indoor and outdoor environments. Our latest laser scanner development dotcube 600k can be used as handheld device, on drones, and on vehicles. Mobile and flexible data acquisition is enabled by applying SLAM algorithms (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) from the domain of mobile robotics. This makes laser scanning independent of external reference variables such as GPS or specific markers. Based on this technology dotscene creates CAD models, true-to-scale floor plans and facade projections for its customers, mainly from the real estate sector.

envelio is a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University and provides the Intelligent Grid Platform to distribution system operators for the next phase of the energy transition. Grid planning and operation processes are digitalized and automated by envelio’s IGP. This automation enables a faster and more cost-efficient integration of renewable generation and charging points for electric vehicles into the energy system. The core of envelio’s technology are optimization and machine learning algorithms based on the five PhD theses of the founders. envelio was founded in 2017 and now has 15 employees. Among envelio’s customers are e.g. Westnetz and E.DIS.

Erium GmbH was founded in 2019 and is based at the “gate” technology and start-up centre in Garching near Munich. The company currently has 10 employees and is a leader in technology for the optimisation of complex processes using AI. With its software solution HALerium, Erium is helping people from various disciplines to create their own AI models without needing to be data scientists. FarmInsect is an AgriTech start-up from Munich, working on a solution for farmers to produce insect larvae from harvest residues. Insects enable the decentralised and safe production of food in the EU through circular economy and are replacing soy and fishmeal with regional and sustainable insect protein. Farmers receive weekly batches of larvae and raise these as a protein source with proprietary insect systems. FarmInsect offers a machine and IoT system that makes the automated fattening of insects easy.

FMC is the provider of extremely efficient FeFET memory solutions for non-volatile storage. FeFET is ultra-low-power, high-performance, very dense, and extremely temperature stable. It will scale to transistor sizes ranging from 28nm to 5nm and below. The FMC team has been supported by “EXIST Forschungstransfer”, a program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The company is based in Dresden, Germany.

Founded in Munich in 2010, fos4X GmbH is a specialist for reliable, fiber-optic measurement technology and sensor technology as well as for innovative data analysis. It develops intelligent solutions for optimizing wind energy. These solutions are primarily used in wind turbines to optimize operation.
The fiber optic sensors and solutions are also used in the fields of electromobility, process measurement technology and railway technology.

Gilytics, an ETH Zurich spin-off, was founded in 2017 by Stefano Grassi, Heather Pace Clark and Philippe Bieri. The company’s software, Pathfinder, is a Geographic Information System (GIS) cloud platform used for overhead line and underground cable connections, identifying routes with the lowest cost or least overall impact on the public and the environment. The solution helps clients to automate infrastructure routing, monitoring and management with big data and specialized algorithms to reduce time, costs and CO2.

The Grandperspective GmbH was founded in Berlin in 2018 with the purpose of protecting people and the environment. Grandperspective is introducing revolutionary remote sensing technology into a highly professional market with severe hazard potentials. The scanfeldTM early warning solution combines novel sensors with an intelligent software solution to the world's first remote monitoring solution for chemical plants. With FTIR spectroscopy hundreds of different gases are identified from a distance of up to several kilometres. The founders René Braun, Peter Maas und Alexander Herrmann bring in 25 years of experience in the development an application of remote monitoring technology together with extensive experience in business development.

GS Bavaria is the world‘s first supplier of nano- hard metal materials on industrial scale. Production is extremely cost-efficient, sustainable and comes with minimal energy consumption through our unique bioleaching recycling process. This process yields nano- powders which we transform into nano- additives to make it as easy as possible for our customers to produce high-performance composites. For now, additives based on Tungsten (W) are available, other metals to come.
