The accuracy of an NC axis with the power of a hydraulic system – EH-D GmbH wins the Environmental Award 2018 of the Bavarian Landesstiftung (Land Foundation)

The High-Tech Gründerfonds portfolio company EH-D GmbH, a young mechanical engineering company from Burghaslach in Middle Franconia, has won the Environmental Award 2018 of the Bayerische Landesstiftung. With this award, the Bayerische Landesstiftung honors the “development of the EH-D drive to maximize energy efficiency by revolutionizing hydraulics in mechanical engineering. The Bavarian Minister of Finance and Local History, Albert Füracker, presented the prize, endowed with EUR 10,000, to the company founder and technical director Kai Böhner today in Munich. In addition to an investment in August 2010, High-Tech Gründerfonds was also able to support the company with real manpower from its own alumni network. Since the middle of this year, a former investment manager of the HTGF, Dr. Torsten Löffler, has been supporting the company as Commercial Director.

EH-D GmbH develops and distributes innovative electro-hydrostatic direct drives for various applications in mechanical and plant engineering, traffic engineering and regenerative energy technology. The company was founded in 2009 as Böhner-EH GmbH by Kai Böhner. It emerged from the engineering office for special machines of Kai Böhner’s father Christian Böhner. Today, twelve specialists develop, design and assemble EH-D drives in a 200 square metre assembly hall, which are sold to mechanical engineering customers worldwide.

Scavenger AI secures €1.1m pre-seed funding for data-driven decision making
