Jörg earned his doctorate in medical informatics in the field of medical image processing and navigation at the Technical University of Munich. Following his doctorate, he founded a spin-off (HTGF portfolio company), which he led as CEO for over 10 years, guiding it through several rounds of financing and launching medical products in Europe and the USA. Before joining HTGF, he spent over 5 years working in a network organisation for innovation promotion in the healthcare industry and as a business angel in health tech ventures.

I am passionate about prevention, diagnosis, and therapy, especially when personalized through AI and personalized medicine approaches.
What fascinates you about the pre-seed/seed phase?
I am inspired by how science, technology, and dedicated founders create something new every day and how this can lead to great things.
What positive changes have you seen in the past five years?
People are moving away from treating symptoms and standard solutions toward prevention and personalized healthcare services.
