EEDEN starts upcycling – turning textile waste into valuable ressources for new fibres. The Company developed a chemical upcycling process for textile waste, recovering its resources. In this way, new, high-quality textiles can be created again from old textiles.
Globally textiles worth 100 bill. $ get landfilled or incinerated every year, while the industry faces resource shortages and regulatory pressure due to its ecological footprint. EEDENs product, a cellulose pulp for cellulosic fibres such as viscose or lyocell, is a solution to these problems.
The EEDEN team around the two founders, Reiner Mantsch and Steffen Gerlach, includes textile technologists, chemical engineers and chemists and will continue to grow in the coming months. Supported by consultants and a broad network to research and industry, the company is well prepared to further scale the EEDEN technology.

FlyNex was founded in 2015 and develops automated solutions for the integration of unmanned aerial systems in existing value chains of corporations. The software company currently employs 20 employees in Hamburg and Leipzig. In 2016 it got a grant from Investitions- und Förderbank from city of Hamburg as one of the 16 most innovative companies.

LEON Mobility was founded in 2020 by two experts from the mobility industry who had clearly identified the problem of micro mobility: there is a lack of an economical and widespread charging infrastructure for sharing scooters. With XOO, LEON Mobility is building this smart charging infrastructure for sustainable micro mobility in public spaces. XOO charging points distributed across the city charge e-kick scooters and e-mopeds where the need is - efficiently, energy-saving and tidily. XOO is the game changer of micro-mobility. With XOO, mobility providers achieve considerable cost advantages, municipalities get a tidy cityscape and users get scooters ready to ride where they need them. Micro mobility is finally becoming a sustainable solution. For free roads, better air and tidy city centers.
XOO has already been able to achieve significant efficiency increases and improved sustainability for its customers with pilots. LEON Mobility is currently working on the roll-out for several urban customers and plans to grow significantly in 2022. At the same time, with the expansion of XOOnet, the individual XOO charging stations will be developed into AIoT Edge devices that will make XOOnet even smarter. With XOO, LEON Mobility will contribute to the successful implementation of the transport revolution and to the significant reduction of CO2 emissions in cities and municipalities.

saperatec has developed an innovative technology to conserve and recover valuable and scarce materials through a recycling process. The firm initially plans to focus on photovoltaic modules and in the long term diversify its business into other areas. The innovative technology will in the long-term be adapted to other areas.
