Trend market Online donations: Growth capital for Altruja to its third anniversary

Social Fundraising made easy! That is already the slogan and mission of Nicolas Reis, Andreas Jagdhuber und Stefan Grothkopp for three years now. In March 2010 the three entrepreneurs founded Altruja GmbH. With new growth capital Altruja widens its business activities and expands to the international donation markets. The company supports with their innovative online-fundraising tools non-profit organizations, political parties, universities, foundations and sport clubs by increasing the donations of these customers via the internet.

Also, the investors of Altruja expect big growth potential by more internationalized business activities. That is why, the investors of the first financing round High Tech Gründerfonds, Bayern Kapital, Extorel, 5 K Investment of Dr. Hellmut Kirchner and Dr. Manfred Ferber participate jointly in the second round financing. In addition, both new investores HP Capital and MUN-IC are convinced of Altrujas growth potential. “The Altruja team has achieved important milestones during the last three years. We are pleased to support the management to continue this way and to develop the company and the market further“, explains Oliver Jaus of MUN-IC.

More than 300 customers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, UK and Sweden already use Altruja online-donation tools to fundraise donations on their websites. „Due to our very good positioning in der DACH region we are going to expand in other European fundraising markets as well.” explains Andreas Jagdhuber, CFO and COO of Altruja GmbH.

By the end of 2014 the online-fundraisign experts have additional ambitious goals:“ During the next two years we will develop new customer segments like political parties, sport clubs and universities“, explains Andreas Jagdhuber. This goal will be achievable considering that the young company won the German Fundraising Price for the best innovation in 2012.

In 2010 Altruja started ist mission to make online donation processes more effective and target group-oriented. Compared to traditional fundraising methods like post-mailing, online fundraising has cost advantages and helps Non-Profits to target younger donors. The Altruja team with its 10 employees offers different online-fundraising tools like peer-to-peer fundraising, corporate giving campaigns of firms, and for charity events as well as workshops in online-fundraising.
