One has to try the impossible to achieve the possible.
Hermann Hesse, German author, painter and Nobel Prize Laureate
In 2014, the German start-up landscape has proven that aiming at the impossible is worthwhile and that success arises from the possible:
- The German business ecosystem for high-tech start-ups attracted more and more foreign investors and business angels. International corporations and medium-sized businesses recognized the clear benefits of working with start-ups.
- The German start-up scene generated significant follow-on financing rounds, successful exits and initial public offerings.
- The start-up world is omnipresent in media and politics.
This year also marked a successful year for High-Tech Gruenderfonds. Together with our partners, we were able to not only complete promising new and follow-on rounds of investment but also to successfully exit some of our portfolio companies. At the same time, we take this as an incentive to keep trying the impossible, together with you, throughout 2015.
The Christmas season is traditionally the time of the year during which we all relax and recharge our batteries in preparation of a dynamic start into the New Year. The whole HTGF team would like to seize the opportunity to thank you all for your continued trust and cooperation as well as your invaluable support.
Our warmest wishes go out to you and your family, may you enjoy the Christmas season and find time to relax.
