High-Tech Gruenderfonds, Mountain Super Angel and Beteiligungsmanagement Thueringen have successfully sold VisuMotion GmbH to a strategic partner

The 3D company VisuMotion GmbH, Jena, has been completely sold to 3D International Sd. Bhd., Kuala Lumpur/ Malaysia. One of the major shareholders of the buyer is the Malaysian Venture Capital firm MAVCAP, a wholly government owned investment company.

VisuMotion is a supplier of universal 3D-display infrastructure and is independent of any hardware provider. As such VisuMotion develops and sells specialized software and hardware for 3D visualization.

“The take-over of 3D International enables VisuMotion to make a big leap in its business development. In particular, it will accelerate the company in achieving its strategic target to become engaged in international partnerships and to enter the Asian markets”, states Ingo Drexler, Delegated Member of the Board of Mountain Super Angel AG. After the founding of the company in 2006, VisuMotion was financed primarily by Venture Capital firms, such as High-Tech-Gruenderfonds, Beteiligungsmanagement Thueringen (bm-t), Mountain Super Angel AG, PET fonds and TI fonds Thuringia. For these VC firms and funds, this sale of the company was a successful exit. The parties agreed to maintain silence about the details of the transaction The transaction has been advised by Oertel Scheller.
