Good feedback for “reqorder” High-Tech Gründerfonds investing 500,000 Euros

June 29, 2011

Berlin-based Software-as-a-Service company Krauttools GmbH was able to convince with its customer feedback platform, “reqorder” and is bringing High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) on board as an investor.

Krauttools GmbH develops and markets the “reqorder” customer feedback platform and is the first German provider serving this growth market with a data protection compliant solution. “reqorder” offers self-service or app-economy companies the possibility of polling customer views and therefore to further develop their products in the scope of this dialogue. In particular, providers of mobile apps or news and shopping services on the web, who otherwise have virtually no direct customer contact, benefit from the feedback gained from each type of usage situation.

Christine Schmidl, Investment Manager at HTGF commenting on the investment in Krauttools GmbH: “If you want to understand your customers, you only have to ask them. Yet up to now, exactly this has been extremely difficult for online businesses to do. Quantitative analyses quickly hit their limits. With “reqorder”, Krauttools offers the first integrated customer feedback solution that enables the development of sustainable customer relations.”

Philipp Kemper, CEO of Krauttools GmbH, commenting on High-Tech Gründerfonds coming on board: “HTGF’s seed financing is a major milestone for the further development of Krauttools GmbH and our “reqorder” platform. What was important to us was not only to acquire an investor for our idea, but one who gives us the space needed to further develop these ideas. With HTGF’s coming on board we have succeeded in doing this.”

In the coming months the “reqorder” platform is to be further expanded at the same pace. Among other things, planning calls for further scalability of the Software-as-a-Service product.

Apart from product development, the new capital is also to be invested in marketing and sales. This will involve closer cooperation with internet and market research agencies that can use “reqorder” to significantly increase their margins in customer projects.

About Krauttools
The Krauttools GmbH was formed in 2010 by Philip Kemper and Bernd Nähler. Kemper had previously worked for U.S. start-up companies in Seattle and New York. His responsibilities included the localization and transition of American business models for the European market. Before founding Krauttools Nähler specialized in the development of Web-applications and in technical project management.

As part of a joint project, the founders recognized the need for a feedback solution, but found no suitable tool. The first version of reqorder has now been expanded considerably and allows the use of customer feedback in product development and customer support.
