crealytics receives 7-figure growth capital
February 21, 2013
The positive growth seen by SEA technology camato has brought in investment from Bayern Kapital, LBBW Venture Capital GmbH, High-Tech Gründerfonds, Mountain Super Angel AG and new investor BayBG.
crealytics GmbH has once again had a successful round of financing and has received a fresh investment of growth capital in the mid 7-figure range. In addition to the current early-stage investors Bayern Kapital, LBBW Venture Capital GmbH, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Mountain Super Angel AG, BayBG (Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH) has joined the current round of funding. The fresh capital will be used by crealytics to continue developing its SEA software camato.
camato makes it possible to automate most search engine advertising work flows. The tool not only saves about 70% from normal search engine advertising done manually, but also increases the quality and profitability of ad campaigns by optimising keyword, ad and landing page matching. More and more e-commerce companies are using the camato SaaS, including Flaconi, DefShop, navabi, edelight and Nayoki Interactive Advertising, the online marketing unit of arvato eCommerce.
“crealytics has seen strong growth in recent years. Its SaaS solution camato now has the chance of significantly increasing the efficiency in a large and already highly developed search engine market”, said Andreas Heubl, investment manager at BayBG, explaining his company’s investment in crealytics. Romy Schnelle, Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds underscores the potential: “We are excited about the recent performance of the company and see large international growth potential in the marketing of camato”.
crealytics CEO Andreas Reiffen offers this explanation for seeking additional investment: “Our goal with camato is to reduce the effort required to optimize SEA so that companies can scale their campaigns with little manual effort. The new capital will allow us to achieve this goal”.
This is the third round of financing for crealytics. The first round came in 2009 when High-Tech Gründerfonds, Bayern Kapital and Chancenkapital Biberach provided initial seed financing. Then in 2011, crealytics convinced additional investors, receiving a 7-digit figure (€) as growth capital from LBBW Venture Capital GmbH, Mountain Super Angel AG and Bayern Kapital.
crealytics has seen strong growth since its founding in 2008. Gross profit increased by 44% from 2011 to 2012 and the number of employees has now grown to over 60. The release of camato was another step in the company’s transformation from a service provider to a technology vendor.
