Prof. Dr. Anke Weidenkaff
Anke Weidenkaff is a professor at Darmstadt University of Technology and head of Fraunhofer IWKS. Her main research areas are the development of sustainable materials and process technologies for fast and efficiently closed material cycles. She received her PhD in Chemistry from ETH Zurich in 1999, Venia Legendi in Solid State Chemistry and Materials Science from the University of Augsburg in 2006, Department Head at Empa and Associate Professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland. 2013 to 2018 Chair and Directorate at the University of Stuttgart. 2016 to 2019 President of ETS, member of the E-MRS Executive Committee and in 2019 and 2021 Chair of the Meeting Committee, 2011 recipient of the Kavli Foundation Lectureship and 2022 recipient of the Boer Award for Renewable Energy Technologies and the GDCH/GCCCD Award for Excellence in Doctoral Supervision. She is a DFG and ERC review board member and has been a WBGU member and BAM advisory board member since 2020.
